Personal — Milton L. Williams was born in
1932. He was appointed to the Appellate Division in 1994. Justice Williams is a

Judicial Positions — Prior to his appointment to the Appellate Division,
Justice Williams was Deputy Chief Administrative Judge for the New York City
Courts in New York, NY from 1985 to 1993 and served as an Associate Justice of
the Supreme Court in the First Judicial District since 1985. He was
Administrative Judge for the New York Supreme Court, Criminal Term, First
Judicial District in New York, NY from 1983 to 1985. From 1981 to 1984 he served
as an Acting Justice of the Supreme Court. In 1977, Judge Williams sat as a New
York City Criminal Court Judge.
Academic - Milton L. Williams was an Adjunct Professor for Manhattan
Community College from 1980 to 1985. He was also an Adjunct Professor for John
Jay College from 1973 to 1977.
