Personal — Sondra Miller was born in 1929.  She began service as a Justice for the Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department in 1990, appointed by Governor Mario M. Cuomo. 

 

Judicial Positions — Sondra Miller was elected to the New York Supreme Court, Ninth Judicial District in 1986.  Justice Miller was a Westchester County Family Court Judge from 1983 to 1986.

 

Education — Sondra Miller received her law degree from Harvard Law in 1953 and was a part of the first class to admit women.  She graduated from Wellesley College with a BA in 1950.

 

Memberships — Sondra Miller is a member of the:  American Bar Association; Association of the Bar of the City of New York; Florida Bar; National Association of Women Judges; New York County Lawyers Association; New York State Bar Association; New York State Women's Bar Association; Westchester Women's Bar Association; Judges and Lawyers Breast Cancer Alert; Ninth Judicial District Committee to Promote Gender Fairness in the Courts; Governor's Permanent Judicial Commission on Justice for Children; Blacks and Jews in Conversation; New York State Task Force on Family Violence; Board of Visitors, Pace University School of Law; Board of Directors, Child Care Council of Westchester; Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
