Personal — Gabriel M. Krausman was born in 1931.  He began service as a Justice for the Appellate Division, Second Department in 1994, appointed by Governor Mario M. Cuomo. 

 

Judicial Positions — Prior to serving on the Appellate Division, the Honorable Gabriel M. Krausman was a Kings County Supreme Court Justice from 1983 to 1994.  He sat as a Judge on the Civil Court of the City of New York from 1980 to 1982. 

 

Clerkships — Preceding his judicial career, during the years of 1968 to 1979, Gabriel M. Krausman was Law Clerk to both the Honorable Frank Vaccaro of the New York Supreme Court , Second Judicial District and the Honorable Irwin Brownstein of the Civil Court of the City of New York.

 

Private Practice — Gabriel M. Krausman was in private practice in New York, New York from 1960 to 1969.

 

Academic — Justice Krausman is known for his trial practice and settlement techniques and has been a lecturer at law school and bar association symposiums.    

 

Education - He received his law degree from New York Law School in 1959.  Justice Krausman went to Brooklyn College and graduated from NYU for his undergraduate degree.
