New York City Courts:
Manhattan: Courts are closed, except as follows:
Manhattan Housing Court Emergency Applications:
In New York County, Housing Court emergency applications will be heard at the Harlem Community Justice Center.
Criminal Court is open only for arraignments and emergency applications. The Summons Parts are closed citywide. For emergency applications for Family matters, call: 845.483.8175. The Harlem Community Justice Center is open.
Staten Island: Family Court, Civil Court and Criminal Court courthouses are open.
Court and Administrative offices in Manhattan, at 25 Beaver Street and 26 Broadway, are closed.

Queens Foreclosure auctions scheduled for Friday, November 2, in Queens County will not be held at the courthouse.

Nassau County:
Long Beach City Court is closed.

Please be advised that the Appellate Division, First Department courthouse will remain closed until power is restored to the building. All cases scheduled for October 30 through November 1, 2012 will be rescheduled. Until the courthouse reopens, the Court will have a satellite office at the Bronx Supreme Court building, 851 Grand Concourse, Bronx, New York (Room 613) for the limited purpose of emergency applications and the filing of motions for re-argument and leave to appeal. The telephone number there is 718-618-1263. For all other matters, the Court has granted a general enlargement to perform any act required by the Court's rules until the close of the next business day after the courthouse reopens.

The court has granted a general enlargement to perform any act required by the courts rules that is due on Monday, October 29th, or Tuesday, October 30th until the close of business on Wednesday, October 31st. There will be no handdown issued for decisions this week.

Due to hurricane Sandy, the Manhattan office of the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York will be closed on Thursday, November 1st and Friday, November 2nd. The Poughkeepsie and White Plains divisions will remain open.
All 341 meetings scheduled for 80 Broad Street, NY, NY, on November 1 and 2, 2012, are adjourned. Please contact the trustee assigned to your case for the rescheduled date and time. All 341 meetings to be held in White Plains and Poughkeepsie, respectively, on November 1, 2012, will proceed as scheduled.?

Due to the continuing emergency and aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the United States District Court remains closed in its Newark and Trenton locations through and including Friday, November 2, 2012.
The Camden Courthouse will reopen for the purpose of handling emergent matters as ofThursday, November 1, 2012.
We will post further notices regarding Court operations as events unfold.
Please note that where the last day for filing falls on a Saturday, Sunday or other day when the court is officially closed, the time period is enlarged under Rule 6(a)(3), Fed. R. Civ. P., until the next regular business day which is anticipated to be Monday, November 5 (or the appropriate later date if closure is extended further).

The US Bankruptcy Court's offices in Newark and Trenton will be closed on Thursday, November 1st, 2012 and Friday, November 2nd, 2012. The Camden office will remain opened.?
