Re. NYSCEF Update
With permission, please see
below a bulletin from the NYSCEF team. Note that the last few paragraphs were added by NYSCEF team recently and were not on the email you may have received directly from the court:
The document listing
displayed on the NYSCEF System for Supreme Court and Court of Claims
e-filed matters will have a new look. These changes are in response to some
of your requests. The most significant enhancement is a new view allowing
quicker access to records in cases with large numbers of documents.
The new view will allow
you to see 20 records at a time and you will be able to advance to the next
20 and back with the click of a button You will also be able to go right to
the beginning or end of a document list just as easily.
Note: Records are not
documents. For example you may have 2 documents with 9 exhibits attached to
each. The first document would be document # 1, and the exhibits would be
documents 1-1 through 1-9. The second document would be document # 2, and
the exhibits would be 2-1 through 2-9. Therefore, only these two documents,
consisting of 20 records inclusive of the exhibits, will be displayed on
screen at one time.
You will also notice a new
column for "Document Status". When you mouse over the initials in
that column the document status will be displayed. Also, in the payment
info column, a "P" indicates that payment has been processed.
When you mouse over the "P", the payment information will be
displayed.
Note: These changes apply
only when one signs on as a filing user for Supreme Court and The Court of
Claims. The document list will remain the same when accessed through
"Public Inquiry" and on all Surrogate document lists.
Since this list is new, an
additional button on the document listing page has also been added that
reads " [View All Documents List] "
Selecting this button will
bring you into the prior document list that you are familiar with. Remember however, accessing the document
list this way will take much longer that then new method when viewing cases
with large amounts of documents.
We hope you will use the
new document list.
Please send any
suggestions or comments to the EFiling Resource center at EFile@courts.state.ny.us
We are Committed to Remain the
Best!
Thank You,
Izzy Schiller, President
