Suffolk County
Emergency Closing Notifications
Suffolk County Courts provide notification of emergency closings through the following medium:
RADIO - The public may tune into the following radio stations, which will announce emergency closings:
B103-FM (103.1)
WBLI-FM (106.1)
WBAB-FM (102.3)
WLNG-FM (92.1)
WRCN-FM (103.9)
TELEVISION - All emergency closings will be broadcast on News 12 Long Island (Channel 12).
INTERNET - Login to http://www.cancellations.com for a complete list of cancellations.
*Please specify under the organization name "Suffolk County State Court System" ONLY to ascertain whether the Suffolk courts are closed.
While we have endeavored to provide different options for notifying the public, please understand that one or more of these options could be affected by the nature of the emergency. For example, telephone lines may be down or there may be a loss of electricity, etc., or by the efficiency of the organization whom we notify.
Please be assured that we will make every effort to provide the earliest notification possible in the event of court closings.
Second Circuit Court of Appeals
The following notices have been posted to the courts web site.
Pay.gov outages - On February 4, 2012, Pay.gov will experience another outage from 6:00 p.m. until approximately 8:00 p.m. to return to its current production site in Dallas, TX. Please arrange submission of any materials involving electronic payment of fees accordingly during these times.
